Plywood
Plywood is an engineered wood sheet material made up of fine layers of wood veneers attached together placing wood grains 90 degrees to one another. Plywood is a versatile material that can be used for a variety of applications. The thickness of plywood is determined by the number of layers, or plies, of wood veneer that is glued together. The more layers there are, the thicker the plywood.
The most common thicknesses of plywood are 18mm, 12mm, and 6mm.
Block Boards
Blockboard is one type of engineered compound plywood board where softwood strips are joined edge to edge and bonded together machining often a sandwich structure placing hardwood between them. Block board is usually found in different sizes and thickness.
A thickness of 18mm-19mm is typically used.
Block board is available in various sizes with heights of 6ft, 7ft and 8ft and widths of 3ft & 4ft.
